  • 1 cup (220 g) light brown sugar, packed
  • 2 tbsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • Heaping 1/3 cup (65 g) diced banana pieces
  • 1/2 cup (112 g) unsalted butter, very softened
  • 1 cup (220 g) light brown sugar, packed
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/3 cup (116 g) honey
  • 1/2 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 3 tbsp (45 ml) heavy cream
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup (112 g) unsalted butter
  • 8 oz (226 g) cream cheese, cold
  • 1 cup (130 g) powdered sugar

Instructions

  • Mix warm milk, yeast, and sugar in a bowl; let sit for 10 minutes until foamy.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, salt, and sugar.
  • Add egg, vanilla, mashed bananas, and softened butter to the dry mixture.
  • Pour yeast mixture into the bowl; mix until well blended.
  • Knead dough for 7-10 minutes until it forms a soft ball.
  • Allow dough to rise in a greased bowl until doubles in size, about 1-1.5 hours.
  • Prepare cinnamon caramel sauce by mixing its ingredients until well combined.
  • Grease a baking dish and spread cinnamon caramel sauce on the bottom.
  • Make the filling by mixing softened butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
  • Dice bananas before rolling out the dough.
  • Roll out the dough into an 18×12 inch rectangle.
  • Spread cinnamon filling over the dough and sprinkle diced bananas on top.
  • Roll the dough tightly, cut into 12 pieces, and place in the prepared dish.
