Instructions
- Mix warm milk, yeast, and sugar in a bowl; let sit for 10 minutes until foamy.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, salt, and sugar.
- Add egg, vanilla, mashed bananas, and softened butter to the dry mixture.
- Pour yeast mixture into the bowl; mix until well blended.
- Knead dough for 7-10 minutes until it forms a soft ball.
- Allow dough to rise in a greased bowl until doubles in size, about 1-1.5 hours.
- Prepare cinnamon caramel sauce by mixing its ingredients until well combined.
- Grease a baking dish and spread cinnamon caramel sauce on the bottom.
- Make the filling by mixing softened butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
- Dice bananas before rolling out the dough.
- Roll out the dough into an 18×12 inch rectangle.
- Spread cinnamon filling over the dough and sprinkle diced bananas on top.
- Roll the dough tightly, cut into 12 pieces, and place in the prepared dish.
- Cover and let rolls rise for about an hour until puffed up.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake rolls for 32-35 minutes.
- For frosting, brown butter and mix with cream cheese and powdered sugar.
- Let rolls cool for 10 minutes before frosting.
