  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 (24 ounce) jar marinara pasta sauce
  • 1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  • Cook rigatoni in salted boiling water until al dente, drain and set aside.
  • Brown ground beef in a skillet for 7-8 minutes, breaking clumps.
  • Add Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper; cook for another minute.
  • Stir in marinara sauce and tomato sauce, boil, then simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Combine rigatoni with sauce mixture, and transfer to a casserole dish.
  • Sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top.
  • Cover and bake for 20 minutes, then uncover and bake for another 10-15 minutes until bubbly.

Notes

Break ground beef into smaller pieces while browning for even cooking.
Broil for a few minutes after baking for a crispy top.
