Ingredients

  • 2 cups Cake Flour

  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1/4 cup Sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • 2 tbsp Butter, Melted
  • 2 tsp Vanilla
  • 1 cup Sugar (for coating)
  • 2 tsp Cinnamon (for coating)
  • 1/2 cup Butter, Melted (for coating)

Instructions

  • Bring apple cider to a boil in a saucepan for 1 minute.
  • Reduce cider to about 1/2 cup by simmering for approximately 15 minutes.
  • Let the reduced cider cool completely.
  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and spray a donut pan with non-stick spray.
  • Whisk together dry ingredients in a bowl.
  • Combine wet ingredients in another bowl.
  • Mix wet and dry ingredients until just combined.
  • Fill donut molds about three-quarters full with batter.
  • Bake for about 8 minutes until lightly golden.
  • Prepare melted butter and cinnamon sugar for coating.
  • Dip baked donuts in melted butter and then coat with cinnamon sugar.

Notes

Use fresh apple cider for the best flavor.
Avoid overmixing the batter for optimal texture.
