Ingredients

  • 3 pitted dates
  • 1 ounce semi-sweet chocolate
  • ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ⅓ cup nondairy milk (coconut, almond, etc.)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 12 tablespoons maple syrup, honey, or agave (optional for sweetness)

Instructions

  • Peel and pit the avocados, placing the flesh in a food processor.
  • Add pitted dates and pulse until blended.
  • Melt the semi-sweet chocolate in a microwave and let it cool slightly.
  • Combine melted chocolate, cocoa powder, nondairy milk, vanilla extract, and salt in the food processor.
  • Blend until smooth, scraping down the sides as needed.
  • Chill in the refrigerator for a few hours to enhance texture.

Notes
