- 3 ripe avocados
- 3 pitted dates
- 1 ounce semi-sweet chocolate
- ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- ⅓ cup nondairy milk (coconut, almond, etc.)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1–2 tablespoons maple syrup, honey, or agave (optional for sweetness)
Instructions
- Peel and pit the avocados, then scoop them into a food processor.
- Add the pitted dates and pulse until broken down.
- Melt the chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl.
- Pour melted chocolate into the food processor along with cocoa powder, nondairy milk, vanilla extract, and salt.
- Blend until combined; scrape down the sides and blend for an additional 2 minutes until smooth.
- Chill in the refrigerator if desired before serving.
Notes
Ensure avocados are ripe but not overly soft for best texture.
Adjust sweetness as needed with maple syrup, honey, or agave.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
