- 1 tbsp water
- 1 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
- 7 egg roll wrappers
- 1 (21 oz) can apple pie filling
- Oil for frying
- Caramel sauce for dipping
Instructions
- Whisk together water and flour and set aside.
- Combine sugar and cinnamon in a shallow bowl.
- Lay out an egg roll wrapper with a point facing you.
- Add apple pie filling to the bottom third of the wrapper.
- Fold up the bottom corner over the filling.
- Moisten edges with water/flour mixture.
- Tuck in the sides and roll tightly from the bottom up.
- Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat.
- Fry the egg rolls until golden brown, flipping halfway through.
- Roll in cinnamon sugar mixture while warm.
- Cool on a wire rack and serve with caramel sauce.
Notes
Allow filling to cool slightly before wrapping to prevent tearing.
Ensure the oil is hot enough for frying to avoid oil absorption.
Do not overcrowd the pan to maintain cooking temperature.
