- 1 egg
- 1 cup chopped apples
- 3 tbsp brown sugar
- 3 tbsp melted butter
- 2 tsp sugar
- 2 cups confectioner's sugar
- 2 tsp milk
- 3 tbsp soft butter
- 2 tsp vanilla sugar
Instructions
- Mix warm milk, granulated sugar, vanilla sugar, and yeast in a small bowl; let sit until foamy.
- Combine flour, salt, and egg in a large bowl; mix.
- Pour yeast mixture into flour mixture, add cold milk, and knead for 7-10 minutes until soft.
- Cover and let the dough rise for 10 minutes.
- Mix chopped apples, brown sugar, and melted butter in a bowl.
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle and spread the apple filling evenly.
- Roll the dough tightly and slice into 3-4 inch pieces.
- Place slices in a greased baking pan and let rise for another 10 minutes.
- Bake at 375°F for 35 minutes or until golden brown.
- Combine glaze ingredients and drizzle over buns after cooling slightly.
Notes
Ensure yeast is fresh for better rising.
Let dough rest if it feels too elastic when rolling.
