This Air Fryer Tuna Melt combines a creamy tuna salad with crispy bread and melted cheese for a quick and satisfying meal, perfect for lunch or dinner.

Ingredients

  • 1 can tuna, drained
  • 2 tablespoons plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon pickle juice
  • Sprinkle of black pepper
  • 2 green onions, diced
  • Large sprinkle of red chili flakes (optional)
  • 2 pieces of bread
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ½ cup of prepared tuna salad
  • 4 slices of cheese (rectangular or 1 large square slice)
  • ½ avocado, mashed
  • 4 thin slices of tomato
  • 1 tablespoon pesto

Instructions

  • Combine drained tuna, Greek yogurt, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, pickle juice, black pepper, green onions, and chili flakes in a bowl.
  • Spread olive oil on one side of each bread slice.
  • On one slice, spread the prepared tuna salad evenly; add cheese and top with the second slice, oil side up.
  • For 'tunacado', spread pesto on one slice and avocado with tomato on the other before assembling.
  • Air fry at 390°F for about 8 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and cheese is melted.
